As the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to cause uncertainties, the focus has to remain clear and valuable resources has to be set aside to guide the business through its challenges. A Business Continuity Plan (BCP) is a document that outlines how a business will continue operating during an unplanned disruption in service.

Additionally, the International Labour Organization (ILO) has developed a six-step COVID-19 BCP tool to support enterprises during the COVID-19 crisis. It aims to establish the risk profile of enterprises and the level of vulnerability to COVID-19 in terms of its impact on People, Processes, Profits and Partnerships (the “4Ps”) and develop an effective risk and contingency system for the business.
